Knife Care

Proper care will keep your knife performing for a lifetime.

Cleaning

Wash by hand using warm water and mild soap. Do not place in a dishwasher. Avoid soaking the blade in water for extended periods.

Drying

Dry immediately after washing with a clean cloth. Do not air dry.

Storage

Store knives in a dry environment using a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Avoid loose storage in drawers.

Sharpening

Maintain the edge using a whetstone for best results. A honing rod can be used for routine edge alignment. Avoid electric or pull-through sharpeners.

Carbon Steel Care

Carbon steel will naturally develop a patina over time. This is normal and protective. To prevent rust, keep the blade dry and lightly oil it with food-safe mineral oil if storing for long periods.
